Finally...

Ryleigh is finally standing on her own. She can't stand up without holding on to something, but once she is up she is pretty steady. Last night she took three steps on her own before grabbing Dan's hand. She is making progress.

The girls love it when Daddy comes home from work. They are all over him. They must be Daddy's little girls. What is he going to do with a third girl?

Easter!!!

Ryleigh has a duck fetish. She loves them whether they are stuffed, plastic, or live. We went into Zamzows (a pet/gardening store) and they had baby ducks in a cage. Ryleigh watched them for a long while and was really excited and happy. She has never seen a live duck so close let alone a baby duck. They were pretty cute, but stinky.

We had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard Saturday night. The girls loved it. Ryleigh was especially excited to see the jelly beans inside. She just kept eating them. Sunday morning, the girls were excited to see their baskets filled with treats and gifts. Ryleigh wasn't too interested in the toys, but when she saw the eggs at the bottom, she jumped in. If you talked to McKenna you learned that she got quite a few things for Easter. Tights, a necklace, paints, a puzzle, bandaids, 4 chocolate bunnies (they were small), and a turtle shaped watering can. She is also really into the hair accessories that Ryleigh received. She has worn more of them than Ryleigh has.

McKenna spent Sunday night retelling the story of Jesus and his crucifixion and resurrection to us. I told it to her and her class in Primary and she wanted to tell us. She did a great job. It is great to know that she is learning so much about the gospel.

Popo came to visit the week before Easter. They girls love when their grandma comes. She plays games with them. It is nice to have a break from cooking when she comes.
McKenna's friend Julienne came from Salt Lake to visit her grandparents in Boise. We were able to bring them to our house and the girls became reacquainted very quickly. They played dressup and detectives. We were sad to see them go. The two girls did a pinky swear to be BFFs . They are funny. We have had a full two weeks of fun.

The Blessing/Curse Lives On...

The ultrasound was yesterday. We are having another girl. She looks healthy and is a little spunky. She wouldn't cooperate with the ultrasound tech. Kept rolling over or sticking her hand in the wrong place. Sounds like one of my kids. In the videos, she is sucking her thumb and opening her mouth. We are excited for a new little girl.

Sickos

Not much to report besides the girls and I are sick. Ryleigh was and is still teething. She is getting some whopper front teeth. We are recovering slowly. Lucky for us, my mom arrived yesterday to visit for a week so it will be nice to have some help.

Oh there is something we did yesterday. The beehives asked me to come to mutual and talk about Chinese culture. I took the whole family, my mom included. We talked about Chinese New Year and wedding tea ceremonies. My mom did a lot of the talking. I brought my chicken and broccoli dish but the girls are more Americanized and like the sweet and sour chicken they brought. Before they asked me to come, they were going to go to Panda Express and call that Chinese culture. Dan found out about that in BYC and said, "You know my wife is Chinese?" They hadn't even thought about that. Panda Express is NOT Chinese culture. What were they thinking?
